Infection Control Practices in Our Clinic

For implementation of quality and safety in dental practice, infection control measures are mandatory. Dental clinics have been the focus of attention because of risk of cross infections like Hepatitis B and HIV. To provide safe and hygienic conditions for dental treatment, we pledge to safeguard your health by adopting stringent infection control protocols.

The main purpose of infection control program is to provide maximum protection against infection for patients, health care personnel and accompanying visitors.
• All staff wear personal protective gears such as gloves, mask, aprons and foot wear.
• All patients entering the clinic are provided with separate footwear.
• All instruments are dipped in bacillol overnight before autoclaving.
• All instruments are autoclaved daily.
• Hand hygiene and safe infection practices are followed as per infection control protocol.
• After completing the patient the chair is cleaned with spirit swab and cling film is changed on the chair table. The spittoon and suction are drained with hypochloride solution.
• We promote use of disposables which are discarded after use to prevent cross infection.
• Mopping of floors with hypochloride solution (.5%) is done daily.
• Fumigation of premises for disinfection is done regularly every week as per schedule.
• Procedure room protocols are followed to maintain complete asepsis.
• All staff is vaccinated for Hepatitis B and other diseases under UIP.
• All the waste generated in the clinic is properly segregated according to the set protocols and is regularly collected by Biomedical Waste Management company.
• The water being used in the clinic for drinking or clinical work is being tested biannually by the concerned lab.
• All the equipments are calibrated regularly by the authorized lab.
• Air purifiers are installed for safe inhaling environment.
