1. School Dental Health : Oral health and hygiene is an area of concern among school children and they need to be constantly educated and updated on it. Owing to increased availability and consumption of tooth decaying foods and products and reduced emphasis and casual attitude towards regular brushing, there has been a quantum jump in prevalence of dental diseases. We felt children are better off with smiling faces than toothaches. All they needed was awareness on maintenance of oral hygiene. But children don't want to be taught these days. Thus dawned the idea of introducing Tooth Fairy and make the whole concept both entertaining and informative.The details of TOOTH FAIRY EDUCATION PROGRAM are as under:

TOOTH FAIRY - The mascot created by Trigon Dental touches the tender heart & receptive brain of tiny-tots with her magic wand to render them a brilliant smile always.

In the schools registered with tooth fairy following programs are being conducted by Trigon Dental :

1. Tooth Fairy prepares "Tooth Volunteers" from each class who are trained to tell fellow pupils about maintenance of oral health and hygiene. Volunteering has served as an important empowerment tool for themselves and motivational for others. In-between Tooth Fairy also interacts with children talks about healthy eating, proper brushing methods etc.

2. Poster Making and Slogan Writing contests focusing on the theme of Oral Health Awareness are organised for the pupils of different age-groups. This has led to children coming out with amazing slogans and insights into dentistry.

3. A Travelling Dental Exhibition is being put-up in schools to educate about commonly occurring dental diseases and its management. This is done with the help of tailor made posters and charts arranged in such a way that children learn about the normal structure and functions of teeth besides getting an insight into common dental ailments as well as the treatment options available.

4. An innovative 'Milky Smile' contest for children with milk teeth is being conducted by our team of doctors. The children with bright and white smiles and no cavities in the age group 3-5 years are honored with trophies in school assembly.

5. Annual dental checkup : Each child in the school is being examined for checking the present status of his/her teeth. They are being advised appropriate precautions and treatments for their dental problems. The students are offered 20% off on all dental treatments at Trigon's clinic.

6. All contest winners are given the 'Tooth Fairy trophies' at the end of the program, to encourage them to lead in spreading the message of good oral hygiene. As was rightly quoted "NO CAVITIES, NO FEAR, HAPPY SMILE IS EVERY WHERE".

7. TOOTH FAIRY hosts annual inter school events in October the Oral Health Month called “TEETH CARNIVAL” which has fun competitions like Fancy dress, Declamations, Poetry,Jokes,Ramp smile, Essay writing etc.The winner school with maximum participation and maximum awards gets running trophies. The venue has stalls for fun games ,healthy food, smile studio etc.

2. Senior's Dental Care: We start the new year with special camps for the senior citizens at the old age homes.besides free checkup camps,oldies are advised hoew to take care of the dentures,dietary regims to be followed and screening done for oral cancer. All old age home inmates are given free dental treatment and dentures as required. The socity offers 15% discount to all the senior citizens.

3. Program for Under privileged: The children from urban slums are given free checkups and treatment for all their dental health needs .The children are distributed oral health kits consisting of brush ,paste and floss during the visit.

4. Publications: To reach out to the millions and reinforce our message of healthy smile for all,the society brings out information in various forms from time to time.

News letter: THE TRIGON TIMES is quarterly issue of Dr Sanjay Kalra's Trigon Dental which provides latest information on dental health ,lifestyle ,food and fashion trends to educate the citizens thru entertainment.

Annual magazine: UTKARSH-THE AWAKENING is an annual feature which sums up all the events and activities of the society with patient education articles on common dental ailments and contributions from school students in the form of essays slogans, posters ,poems etc.
